This year for New Year’s Eve The Wharf will be hosting the biggest, brightest, and best Boogie Nights event ever! The venerable monthly retro disco evening goes into overdrive for New Year’s Eve and promises to finish off the old year with an unforgettable bang – literally. Because it wouldn’t be New Year’s Eve without fireworks at midnight.
This celebrated disco dance party starts at 9:30 pm and, as usual, One World DJs are in charge of the turntables. Hardcore fans of this long-standing monthly event are encouraged to put even more effort into recreating a smorgasbord of retro fashion styles for New Year’s Eve – from 70s glam rock to 80s new romantics to 90s hip-hop – and do justice to the hottest beats of the era.
As well as being known as one of the best restaurants in Seven Mile Beach, The Wharf is ideally suited to hosting a New Year’s Eve event. As the evening begins, the Wharf’s team of international chefs will be running live Street Food Action Stations showcasing the very best of Grand Cayman local food, dazzling revelers with their carving, cutting, plating and frying skills.
Another feature of the evening will be a Stoli and Flor de Caña bar, featuring Russia’s world-famous Stolichnaya vodka and Nicaragua’s Flor de Caña rum, mixed with exotic ingredients by the Wharf’s professional mixologists.
And that’s not the only pop-up bar planned for the evening. Lovers of bubbles will be lining up at the Champagne Bar to sample the Laurent-Perrier rosé, the most recognized rosé champagne in the world.
Two packages are available: general admission is CI$25, including a welcome drink, while VIP tickets are priced at CI$150, including VIP Lounge admission, including unlimited Action Station food and drinks (shots and Champagne not included).
