George Nowak, known as The Barefoot Man is an entertainer and songwriter and enjoys performing in various Cayman Islands restaurants and events. He is a live performer who uses the strings of a guitar and composes songs of pop, beach roco, and soft rock genre. With 2000 composed songs, his famous albums include A Decade on an Island, Island Party! and many more. The Barefoot Man’s band included himself as the guitarist accompanied by another individual on the keyboard/synthesizer and a percussionist, who is the wife of the keyboard player. Their set is one of the most entertaining and lively Caribbean, Island-style music combined with the Barefoot Man's humorous stories and tales between the songs.
The Barefoot Man and his Band were featured in a film in 1993 “The Firm” starring Tom Cruise and Gene Hackman. He wrote a song called "Money, Money, Money” for this movie and this song was performed and recorded at the Holiday Inn in the Grand Cayman Island.
